I Pray and He Blesses...

Blessings For Today:

Dirty little feet that run and kick a greeting to the return of summer...
Silly laughter of a tired child.
Peace in the simplicity of the everyday
Witnessing life get a little easier by simply performing an everyday task a little differently than the day before.
Excited screams at the sight of the mystery that is the bubble.
Receiving joy from giving without expectation or condition
Making provisions for the ones I love
Bite sized pieces of carrots and apples being dipped into a lid filled with peanut butter
"Ummm Ummm" with the rub of a belly
Unprompted thank-yous of a small child
Sweet innocent high pitched 3 year old voice leading her family in daily prayer
Holding my baby tight as she peacefully relaxes in the safety of her mother's arms.
Tears spilling from my eyes as I let my heart be touched by a cartoon

I pray for His help, and God answers purely, timely, perfectly.  His purity.  His timeliness.  His perfection.  Nothing else matters.  He's got my world in His hands.  

Blessing of Chores

I'm currently at the beach with my family, which is a handful of blessings in itself!  I always try to get our laundry caught up most of the way before we leave so that there isn't a mountain of dirty clothes waiting to be done as soon as I walk through the door when we return from our trip.
Last night, I was wondering through the house with a rickety wicker basket collecting clothes and towels that needed washing.  As I picked up a towel, I smiled at the blessing I was currently experiencing.  The large volume of dirty towels and clothes were all blessings reminding of the healthy and loving family of mine who were all congregating quietly downstairs, and the blessing of being able to care for them.  Cooking dinner, cleaning their clothes, picking up after them, making their morning coffee--any and all of it are God's blessings.  
Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of beautiful messes and the loved ones whose care you continue to entrust to me!  Thank you for loving me enough to bless me with the indescribable love for my family and opening my heart to receive the blessing of their love in return! 

Blessing of A New Day...

I am so thankful that despite the millions upon millions of flaws I make throughout the course of everyday, I have a devine Heavenly Father who graces me with another day to try again.  He knows I'm not perfect, and loves me because of it.
